What's new...
1- So it turns out that with the economy, moving to another state, me being self-employed, Jacob changing job fields, already being homeowners, not having any dependents, not being a minority... we can't put an offer on any homes until next year. Actually, let me rephrase that...we can put as many offers on as many homes as we want too...the banks just won't approve them until next year.
2- So, we have moved out of our "quaint" apartment to an adorable home that is within walking distance of church and a grocery store. We have a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home with an office and the cutest back yard in the world!! We have peach trees, a Mandarin orange tree, and lots of rose bushes. Jacob and I will plant a vegetable garden within the next month.
3- There's no hiding the fact that I'm pregnant now. Here is picture of the Baby belly. We've had the second trimester ultra sound and everything looks good. Baby likes to kick and dance in belly. Sometimes I feel like I'm carrying a ninja not a baby!
Hope all is well you. We'll do a better job of posting soon. There's only 18 more school days left!

House Hunting
Jacob and I looked at 11 houses yesterday and we finally found one that we are ready to put an offer on. I can't believe it!!!! It's all very exciting as we've been looking since September. The stipulation with this house (and with many which are foreclosed on) is that we have to get pre-approval from the "banks" preferred lender, so we will have to fit that into our busy schedule this week. We have pre-approval letter from a mortgage company already so it shouldn't be too hard.
We will keep you posted!

Happy Birthday Josie!
Yesterday we celebrated Josie's fourth birthday! We technically don't know when her birthday is but Jacob gave her to me on 2/04/2006 as an early Valentine's Day gift and Washoe County Humane Society thought she was "about a year old." Also, my half birthday is the fourth, so we figured that February fourth is as good as day as any to celebrate.
The girls enjoy their new Super Scratcher, which is odd to me because they don't have front claws. So far, Josie has been very good at sharing and Roxie is good at waiting her turn but there have been a few growls and swats. I suppose that is to be expected.
For the birthday party, Jacob and I celebrated with In-N-Out (jealous much, Bubby?) and The Girls had crunchy shrimp and tuna kitty treats along with rice and chicken cat food. As for entertainment, The Girls got catnip and we got the giggles! Here a few pictures of the party.
(We tried to put a hat or a string on Josie so she would feel special on her birthday. She wanted nothing to do with it!)

Our Cold California Winter
So for Christmas this year we went to Salt Lake City. It was a wonderful trip and we were able to see many friends and family along the way. It was very difficult to come back and get on with work and school and life BUT it was cold, so very very cold. A vacation full of snowballs, hats, and mittens.
This is the kind of winter that we are getting used to! Don't be too jealous! he he he (I admit this is a shameful plug to get some vistors out here!)

We've only just begun...
So after three years of marriage, we have deiced to enter the Wonderful World of Blogging... Have we sold our souls to the devil by making the dreaded "couples blog" or have we finally entered the technology savvy 21 century? I'm presenlty undecided but Jacob is leaning strongly towards the devil.
First off, I feel that it is vital to explain our blog address. Contrary to popular belief, I am not the "fatty" and Jacob is not the "rocket." Our address name sakes are our two cute kitty girls. Josie, who has put on a few extra pounds since moving west-ward to California, and Roxie who was affectionately named "Rocket" by my dear father secondary to her stealth speed.
Here they are helping me wrap Christmas presents.
